SunCarrier product series

SunCarrier 220/250/260/300

a+f GmbH offers various product series, depending on customer requirements and local conditions.

The SunCarrier 220 and 250 were designed for use at latitudes where wind and snow loads are high. The solid construction guarantees an optimal energy yield position, even in strong winds.

The SunCarrier 260 and 300 models feature a larger module surface area and an even more robust steel construction. They were developed for the market of southern countries and were consequently designed for lower snow loads. Both systems have a ground clearance height of 0.8 meter (2.62 feet) and a maximum height of between 6.5 meter (21.33 feet) and 7.2 meter (23.62 feet).

For the SunCarrier 220, 250, 260 and 300 the pitch angle of the module surface is 30° towards the horizontal. Thus, the modules that orbit the vertical axis with the tracking system are always aligned precisely towards the sun. Compared to fixed installations, these SunCarrier generate up to 30% more energy.

SunCarrier 160

Since 2009, the SunCarrier 160 has completed the portfolio of the SunCarrier series. Depending on the module type, an output of up to 30 kWp can be achieved on a module surface of around 163 square meters (1,754.52 square feet). Thanks to its low construction height of just four meters (13.12 feet), the system can be installed without a problem in countries with construction height limits.

The lower construction height also means less wind load and the resulting development focus on lightweight construction allowed the weight of the steel construction to be significantly reduced.

Due to its innovative geometry, solar modules can be mounted on the SunCarrier 160 at an angle of 40° to the horizontal. The 40° pitch is an additional advantage, as it offers increased annual energy yield of 5 % over the standard 30° incline.
