Bielefeld. a+f GmbH, a member of the GILDEMEISTER group, has completed a major deal with a total value of 41.1 million Euro. Thereby GILDEMEISTER is strengthening its presence on the Italian solar market.

Nine solar parks with an output up to 1 megawatt each will be installed in Apulia in the next months. Southern Italy is considered to be a growing market in the solar business as the conditions for operating photovoltaic plants are attractive. With its latest major order, GILDEMEISTER is further expanding its leading position in the Italian solar market.

After the Intersolar, the largest trade fair worldwide for solar technology, a+f GmbH received “SunCarrier” orders from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, India, China and Japan and could thereby acquire reference plants in these markets. In the future the US market is going to be interesting for the “SunCarrier”. For implementing the international market strategy a+f can draw upon the comprehensive global sales and service network of GILDEMEISTER.

Since its entry into the future market of solar technology, GILDEMEISTER has installed solar plants with a total output of 51 megawatts so far in Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and South Korea. Another 25 megawatts are currently being built and realised. For the first time at the Intersolar the new tracking system “SkyCarrier” was presented to the market, which has been specially developed for countries in the equatorial region and is primarily intended to tap the new markets in the Middle East.
