Currently there is no standardized feed-in tariff for solar power. Each state regulates individually, how many percent of the total consumption of a private individual must be obtained from renewable energy sources. That's why operating a solar power plant might be an excellent investment in some states, while in other regions it might not be.

  • There's a promotion based on a feed-in tariff in about 30 states.
  • There's a comprehensive promotion program in California: The “1-million-roofs”-program has a term until 2018 and is being promoted with 3,2 bn. US$.
