SkyCarrier product series

SkyCarrier 250 –
Tracking system of next generation

In order to guarantee a maximum energy output also in equatorial areas, the SkyCarrier was developed. The perfect area of deployment is between 0 and 25 degrees north or south latitude. In this area, the angle of the sun can be up to 90°, and therefore only a horizontal tracking system for photovoltaic modules guarantees perfect efficiency and yield.

The rotational axis of the SkyCarrier 250 ensures that tracking through the horizontal axis is possible. The SkyCarrier 250 aligns the module surface of 247.5 square meters (2,658.69 square feet) at an angle of +/- 30° to the horizontal almost perfectly towards the sun. Assuming the maximum pitch angle, it reaches a height of approx. 7.6 meters (24.93 feet) over the clearance surface, while at its zero point the height is roughly 5 meters (16.4 feet). Depending on the type of module used, an output of up to 46 kWp can be installed on the system.

The SkyCarrier 250 withstands wind loads up to hurricane force and guarantees an increased yield of up to 25 % in comparison to conventional market solutions. It can be used flexibly as an individual SkyCarrier or in large solar power plants.

SkyCarrier 1000 –
The consistent advancement for an increased yield

The SkyCarrier 1000 is a consistent advancement of the SkyCarrier 250 and is specified for usage in open space solar power plants in equatorial areas. The rotational axis of the tracking system ensures that the pitch angle of the module sur-face moves at an angle of +/- 60° to the horizontal. This means even more accurate tracking and alignment towards the position of the sun, especially in the morning and evening hours.

Thanks to the low construction height of only 2.2 metres (7.22 feet) and the windscreen fence surrounding the complete power plant, the SkyCarrier 1000 is exposed to very low wind loads, even so the SkyCarrier 1000 can withstand wind loads up to hurricane force. The reciprocal wind shelter of the module rows, provided by the series, enables the use of materials in the tracking system to be substantially optimised and the labour required for assembly to be reduced. The module surface area of the SkyCarrier 1000 can be extended modularly according to customer wishes. On a module surface of 261 square meters (2,809.38 square feet, at 14 wings) a module capacity of 48 kWp can be installed.

The SkyCarrier 1000 guarantees an increased yield of up to 25% in comparison to conventional market solutions and it can be used flexibly as an individual SkyCarrier or in large solar power plants.
