SkyCarrier 250 –
Tracking system of next generation
In order to guarantee a maximum energy output also in equatorial areas, the SkyCarrier was developed. The perfect area of deployment is between 0 and 25 degrees north or south latitude. In this area, the angle of the sun can be up to 90°, and therefore only a horizontal tracking system for photovoltaic modules guarantees perfect efficiency and yield.
The rotational axis of the SkyCarrier 250 ensures that tracking through the horizontal axis is possible. The SkyCarrier 250 aligns the module surface of 247.5 square meters (2,658.69 square feet) at an angle of +/- 30° to the horizontal almost perfectly towards the sun. Assuming the maximum pitch angle, it reaches a height of approx. 7.6 meters (24.93 feet) over the clearance surface, while at its zero point the height is roughly 5 meters (16.4 feet). Depending on the type of module used, an output of up to 46 kWp can be installed on the system.
The SkyCarrier 250 withstands wind loads up to hurricane force and guarantees an increased yield of up to 25 % in comparison to conventional market solutions. It can be used flexibly as an individual SkyCarrier or in large solar power plants.
